  1. You can try cutting the shelf in half lengthwise and regluing and joining with dowels once inside the cabinet. If you are planning on mounting a susan to it and dont need its full depth, you can also cut the back clipped corner off by a lot more and then anchor the shelf in place with some cleats once you have it where you want it (you will lose the rear shelf hole when you reduce the shelf’s depth this way. It is definitely more complicated to get the shelf in once assembly is complete, but you can use a bit of ingenuity to get it done!
