Introduction
It's a glorious day here at Cabinet Joint. I'm Justin, and in today's video, I'm going to show you how to install the trash pull-out system in your frameless cabinet.
This here is the 35Q size. You can also get your trash pull-outs with side storage. The install is going to be a little bit different on that, but it'll be all the same principles.
On the screen are going to be all the tools that you'll need for this install. And then once you have all those tools ready, we can get right into the installation.
Tools & Supplies
First things first, I flip my trash pull-out over and, taking the orange Blum undermount clips, I am taking the small screws that come in the pack and attaching those to the bottom of my trash pull-out.
You'll notice there are pre-drilled holes for this already, so you can just line those up and then, at a shallow angle, install those small screws.
With all four of those small screws in place, I'm then going to just put the glides directly onto the bottom of my trash pull-out. That way, this will give me proper spacing as I move into the inside of my cabinet.
TPO Assembly
With my trash pull-out inside, I am going to measure it to be in the center of my opening, left to right. And then I'm going to push the glides back ¼".
Once I know everything is centered and parallel, I'm going to take my pencil and mark out where those glides are landing. And then once those are marked out, I'm going to take the pull-out off of the glides.
And then, with that pull-out removed, I am free to put the glides back into those pencil marks I just made, keeping it parallel with the cabinet side. Measuring back ¼" once again, just to make sure everything is in place.
And then, using those large screws that come in with your pull-out, I am installing the glides into the floor of the cabinet. It's not a bad idea if you have any larger screws to install those there as well. And that'll just give your pull-out added strength over the longevity of the cabinet.
And then I'm going to take my measurements from the bottom of the cabinet to the bottom, then, of my trash pull-out.
And before I can install the front, I first need to loosen the nut that's on the bolt that is holding in those metal connector strips. And then, once all of those are loosened, what that allows us to do is spread it out to connect the pull-out to the front. And then it'll give us left-to-right adjustability later on.
Then on my front, I am measuring 1¼" from the bottom, and I will make that measurement and that mark on both sides.
Then, taking my trash pull-out, I will align the bottom of it up with those marks that I just made. Then I'm going to take those metal connector strips, keep them inside the front, that way they're not sticking out.
Then I'm going to center the pull-out on the front as well. These measurements will be different depending on the size of your front.
Then, taking a ⁷⁄₆₄" self-centering bit, I will drill where those connectors will meet the frame.
And then, taking the small screws that come in with your pull-out, I will connect the pull-out to the front.
And then I'm going to put it back inside the cabinet. And if you have trouble installing it, you can always just take your glides all the way out and install them that way as well, like you see me doing here, and pulling then the glides to the Blum connectors.
If you do end up doing it this way, it's important to grab the white plastic piece here. Do not grab the metal. It is easy to potentially slice your finger. This is pretty sharp metal. So grab the plastic if you are going to do it this way.
And then from here, I just need to adjust and make sure everything is lined up properly. So, I have my left-to-right adjustment with that metal connector strip if it's loosened.
Once I like the left-to-right adjustment, I can take a ⅜" socket and tighten that. That will lock it into place.
And then, if I need to move my front up or down at all, I have that adjustment on my orange clips underneath the pull-out.
Once I have everything locked in and in place, I will then stick on the rubber bumpers.
This allows for a quiet close as well as a consistent reveal with any potential doors that are on adjacent cabinets, as well as just protecting and giving the cabinet more durability and longevity over time.
Once you have all of that in, your cabinet is ready to be installed.

As you can see, as far as trash pull-outs go, this install is super simple.
