Introduction

It's a glorious day here at Cabinet Joint. My name's Justin. In today's video, I'm going to be giving you a design guide for your light rail when it comes to frameless cabinetry.

Design Guide

So, with your frameless cabinetry, you will be having a shadow line that goes across. Whether it's because your cabinet is butting into a wall or because it has an end panel, you're going to be seeing this ⅛" gap all the way.

And so, what your light rail does aesthetically from the front allows you to complete that look and have that ⅛" reveal all the way underneath your wall cabinet as well.

But then it gives you a spot to hide your lighting strip behind the light rail, allowing you to have lights underneath your wall cabinets.

So, all this is is a ¾" piece of molding here, and you are able to attach it directly underneath or from the inside of your cabinet if you wish.

And you can get this in variable widths, and you can also get this in lengths between 12" and 96". But I do recommend always buying it oversized and then cutting it down, because you can always cut more off, but you can never add more on.

So, if you have any other questions about your frameless light rail, you can reach out to your cabinet coach or you can call us at 888-211-6482.
