It's a glorious day here at Cabinet Joint. I'm Justin, and in today's video, we are going to be talking about the features and benefits of a trash pull-out with side storage.
Historically, trash cans have been just left outside, exposed in kitchens. And what happens is you have beautiful painted or stained cabinetry right next to a tin can. And so over the years, what's become increasingly more popular and more of a luxury item is being able to stick your trash cans inside of your cabinet and then not only have it seamlessly integrated into your whole kitchen, but then also have the ease of being able to simply pull it out.
So, this side mount system here is extremely popular because it does just that. And the cool thing about the side storage is it allows another six or so inches here to be able to store whatever you want here. Whether that's cleaning products, I have extra trash bags here, whatever you need to store in this cabinet, it gives you that option to be able to do so.
What you're seeing here, this is the double 35Q system. We also offer a double 50Q system. And the difference is those trash cans will be taller. So if you want a drawer on top, you can use the 35Q. But if you would like to have larger trash cans, you will remove this drawer and then have one big cabinet ready for your trash cans.
This system utilizes Blum undermount drawer glides, which creates that nice soft-close feature that you see here.
As far as sizing goes, you need to have a minimum of a 24" deep cabinet. And then for the width, once again, needs to be a minimum of 24" wide. This is 20½" wide itself. And then with the drawer glass, it adds a little more space.
You can install this on a wider cabinet, anything wider than 24". But just keep in mind, the trash pull-out itself will not increase in size. This is fixed at 20½" wide. So, while you're increasing the cabinet size, you're not going to get any more storage with your trash pull-out.
This is just one of our many interior storage options and one of our many trash pull-out options that we have. We offer skinnier varieties, we offer side mount varieties. They're all great options, but just make sure you are in communication with your cabinet coach to make sure you are getting the best fit for your kitchen.
If you have any other questions, you can reach out to your cabinet coach, or you can call us at 888-211-6482.
Thank you for watching. Have a great day.
