It's a glorious day here at Cabinet Joint. I'm Justin, and in today's video, we are going to be talking about range hood cabinets. Now, we offer a plethora of different types of hoods, from steni hoods to using a base cabinet and manipulating it to become a range hood, as well as our range hood cabinets.
Now, the benefit of this is this is only one-third of the price of a snee hood, and you're still getting quality and customization. This is a range hood center stile, but this video also does apply to your range hood butt door cabinets.
And this customer opted to go with the shelf option, and this is going to be installed on site. So, that is why you see some clamps here holding it together, because I was not able to assemble it here in the shop.
When it comes to sizing, a butt door range hood cabinet will range between 30" and 36".
And then a range hood with a center stile, which is what we have right here, will then get you from 36" to 48". For your height, you can have this cabinet from 24" to 48" tall, and your depth can be between 18" and 21" deep. All of those can be adjusted within a ¹⁄₁₆" of an inch.
I also just really want to emphasize a ventilator does not come included with this cabinet. You can install your ventilator inside, but you have to buy that elsewhere.
It is really helpful to have your ventilator either already purchased or to know which ventilator you will be purchasing because there will be specs in the manual to know what sizing you'll need, and that will be important then as you're sizing your cabinet.
This needs to be 30" above your cooktop by code.
Both of these cabinets come with a shelf option, as you can see here. And the corbels are customizable. Your shelves can have different edge profiles, and you can even use crown and do crown returns and have a decorative shelf that way as well.
Talk to your cabinet coach. Look on our website to find those different options.
This comes standard with the Roman arch here on the bottom, but you can customize that to any other arch that we offer or no arch at all.
So, as you are ordering this cabinet, we recommend it's going to be a little more money, but spending the extra money and getting a matching interior just because from underneath, you will be able to see the sides as well as the back of that cabinet, depending on the size of your ventilator.
So, having that matching interior makes it look just a little bit better.
This cabinet here has flush ends because this will be proud of its adjacent wall cabinets, and you're going to be able to see the front.
I know that was a lot of information, but the things I want you to remember is there is a lot of customization that comes with this cabinet and this shelf, and it's only at the fraction of a cost of other hood options.
So, if you have any questions, you can reach out to your cabinet coach, or you can call us at 888-21-6482.
Thank you for watching. Have a great day.
