It's a glorious day here at Cabinet Joint. I'm Justin and in today's video, I'm going to be showing you our two-tiered cookware organizer. As you can see right here, this is what it looks like.
And where this stems from is the issue that it's hard to store your pots and pans efficiently inside your kitchen because you think of in drawers, you need to stack them on top of each other, and then when you need to get the one that's all the way on the bottom, you need to take all of them out. Same thing with lids because typically lids will have that, you know, knob on the top. It's just hard to store those efficiently. So, this helps with that issue.
You have the bottom here where you are able to customize your storage for your pots and pans needs. You can have all these dividers. And then on the top here, you have all these dividers where you're able to put your lids and keep those out of the way of your pots and pans and be able to pick them as you need.
This comes in two different sizes. You have 11¾" as well as 20¾". The height and the depth stays the same, just the width changes on those.
The other thing you'll need to look into is with inset cabinets, because of these hinges here, you will need to make sure that your opening is at least 4" wider. So, it would either need to be a 24¾" opening or a 15¾" opening if you have inset cabinets.
With overlay, if you just give yourself a ½" on either side, that would be plenty.
So, with the dividers, you'll have two kinds. You'll have one that kind of looks like a lily pad and then the other one that is more perpendicular.
You'll take the lily pad ones, and those will run perpendicular to the front of your cabinet. You'll take the square-looking ones, and you'll have those running parallel with the front of your cabinet.
And you can adjust these. You can have as many or as little as you want in here. But this will give you space to put in your pans and rest the handle then on that horizontal divider.
Though this won't get any taller, if you do have some like bigger lids or anything, you are able to put this in a full door cabinet. So, remove this upper drawer and these doors, you can imagine, will then come to the top of the cabinet.
That's an option as well. Just keeping in mind that the width is the only thing that's going to change between the two units.
