“The experience from confirming design, to ordering, to shipping/receiving of the cabinets was seamless and smooth--zero issues. The assembly videos were extremely helpful in making the install go quickly and the end product was great.”— Jason from Shrewsbury, NJ
How do you address the center panels around the top drawer front brackets when using inset cabinetry? There is only a 1/4″ of space between the brackets. The 1/2″ plywood center panel will not fit between them. Do you just notch the center panel around the brackets?
Hey Phil, thanks for your question. In lieu of using the inset mounting brackets, you can affix the drawer glides to the two center partitions directly. You may need to shim them out to be flush with the opening, but permanently affixing the glides to the cabinet side is not a problem. The glides are still 6-way adjustable, so you don’t have to be 100% perfect with the placement, though the closer the better. Otherwise, yes, you can notch out the space necessary for the Inset Mounting Brackets on the front surface of the center partitions, if you prefer to do so. Thx!
