It's a glorious day here at Cabinet Joint. I'm Justin, and in today's video I'm going to be showing you a base cooktop butt door cabinet.
This is designed for your modern flat cooktop that sits on top of your countertop. What it does is provide doors here that give you room to perform any maintenance on your cooktop. It also has that divider there if there is any room for storage, depending on the size of your cooktop, where you can store some items.
It also provides this drawer here on the bottom, giving you a place to put your pots and pans right underneath where you're going to be using them.
This cabinet comes between 30" and 42" wide in 6" increments. It can be as short as 31½" and as tall as 42½".
One thing to note: as you adjust the height of the cabinet, the upper opening will get bigger, but the drawer down here will stay the same.
There's another variant of a cooktop cabinet for that flat cooktop we've been talking about. That variant is a two-drawer cabinet, and you can talk to your cabinet coach to see which option is better for you. That one essentially looks the same, but it has a drawer here on the top and some space in the back designed for your piping or your electrical. Because this cabinet has doors and the open space here at the top, there doesn't need to be room in the back because all of that can be accessed through that upper opening.
This is in quartersawn white oak, as you can see with the fleck throughout the grain. It's a really pretty cabinet. This customer also opted for extended legs on either side to achieve more of a furniture look.
If you're interested in any of these finishes, you can reach out to your cabinet coach.
Keep in mind that this is for a flat cooktop where the controls and everything are right there on your countertop. If you have one where the controls are on the front, we have different cabinets for that.
Also, as you are picking out your cooktop, make sure you are communicating with your cabinet coach about its sizing. That way, they can make sure they size your cabinet correctly.
If you have any other questions, you can reach out to your cabinet coach, or you can call us at 888-211-6482.
Thank you for watching. Have a great day.
