custom white cabinetry with farmhouse feel

From the first sketch to the final install, Christine’s kitchen transformation was all about creating a space that felt deeply personal, highly functional, and full of charm.

With Cabinet Joint’s fully custom, ready-to-assemble cabinetry, she brought her vision to life—each thoughtful choice reflecting the rhythms of her family and the warmth of home.

Christine leaned into a soft, lived-in feel with creamy tones and DeVOL-inspired elements that nod to English country charm.

Where It All Began

Christine’s home had heart—but the kitchen wasn’t keeping pace. It felt dim, cluttered, and disconnected from the rest of the space. The layout boxed everything in, making everyday life harder than it needed to be.

Guided by a clear vision, she began reimagining what this room could be: more light, better flow, and a thoughtful layout that brought the whole space to life.

Custom Cabinetry That Sets the Tone

At the heart of the renovation are Christine’s inset cabinets, designed with Albany doors and slab drawer fronts for a clean, tailored look. She chose Heron for the perimeter and Antique White for the island, a soft, neutral pairing that brings warmth to the space.

One of the standout features is the custom hutch, complete with delicate cutouts pulled straight from her own sketch, which she shared during the design process. “I just told them what I wanted and they made it happen,” Christine says.

To give her cabinetry a furniture-style feel, Christine opted for leg extensions on several of her base cabinets. This small detail adds a grounded, built-in charm—making the pieces feel more like heirloom furniture than traditional kitchen cabinets.

Thoughtful Layers Beyond the Kitchen

Christine extended her design vision into the dining room, where a custom buffet adds to the room’s appeal. This piece was built with Madison-style doors and drawer fronts and is painted on-site in a Sherwin-Williams match to Farrow & Ball’s “Pigeon,” a soft green that complements the rest of her home.
