Project Info

This helps us provide a design estimate and cabinet options that fit within your budget.
WHAT IS YOUR PROJECT TIME FRAME?*
How soon would you like to get started?
WHAT'S ON YOUR WISH LIST?
Our designers will do their best to include the selected accessories in your design. Please keep in mind that the cost of accessories can add up quickly. We recommend that you be conservative with your accessory selections at this point, and then work with your Cabinet Coach to add items if your budget permits.

We’ll use this to plan the height of your wall/tall cabinets and crown molding, if applicable.
DO YOU WANT YOUR CABINETS TO GO TO THE CEILING?*
You must upload a sketch of your room with the dimensions of each wall, window/door opening, peninsula and/or island in order for us to draw your layout. This sketch should include the locations of your appliances, centerline for your sink(s), and other key elements or obstructions in the space.

If you don’t already have a dimensioned floorplan you can use our Helpful Guide to create one.

Photos of your existing space are also helpful!

Choose partial overlay, full overlay, flush inset, or beaded inset.

    SELECT A DOOR CONFIGURATION

    Choose Finish Options & Wood/Material

We offer several standard materials and many custom woods. Be aware that matching interior is only available on standard wood species.

    CHOOSE YOUR FINISH TYPE*
Wiping stains are hand-wiped with a rag. As their name implies, spray stains are robotically sprayed onto the wood and therefore are generally a little more consistent since the stain does not penetrate the wood as much. We strongly suggest you order samples of any colors that interest you before placing your final project order!
CHOOSE YOUR WOOD/MATERIAL FOR WIPING STAINS OR CLEAR COAT*
We offer both standard & custom wood species.
CHOOSE YOUR WOOD/MATERIAL FOR SPRAY STAIN*
We offer standard wood species for spray stains, which we call “Truetones.” Spray stains are typically more consistent than wiping stains on most woods and may lack the “grain depth” that wiping stains allow.
CHOOSE YOUR WOOD/MATERIAL FOR YOUR PAINTED CABINETS*
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is the industry’s preferred material for painting. We do offer several other options for painted cabinets, including a Hybrid construction with an MDF panel and wood framing. Be sure to educate yourself on the issues created by painting solid wood!
CHOOSE YOUR WOOD/MATERIAL FOR YOUR UNFINISHED CABINETS*
We offer standard and custom wood species, as well as MDF and Hyrbid MDF. You, the customer, will need to perform the final sanding and finishing, assuming full responsibility for the quality of the final finish.
    CHOOSE YOUR WIPING STAIN COLOR*
All images below are shown on Hard Maple and are for general color reference only. Your actual wood selection will affect the final color. Be sure to order a sample of your actual wood and finish before placing your order.

    CHOOSE YOUR PAINT COLOR*
We offer the standard, “Colourtone,” paint colors (pictured) as well as custom “Prism” colors to match the majority of the Sherwin Williams color spectrum. You can expect these custom “Prism” options to add about 30% to the project price. Please order a sample of your finish selection before placing your order.
Reminder: Custom Sherwin Williams Prism paint colors will cost approximately 20-30% more than staying within our standard “Colourtone” offering. Current Sherwin Williams options: https://www.cabinetjoint.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Prism-Paints-2025-1.pdf
WOULD YOU LIKE ANY FINISH OPTIONS FOR YOUR PAINTED DOORS/FRONTS?
Remember, this is tentative and you can change your final selections later.

Glaze = secondary colored compound wiped over cabinetry and then wiped back off, left to hang in crevices and profiles
Antiquing = Paint sanded through to reveal wood below, providing and aged appearance
Distress = pings, dings, nicks and impressions added to doors/drawer fronts and moldings. Simulates age and wear. Strongly recommended that this be combined with glaze option.

Select a Door & Drawer Front Style

For starters, we need a basic idea of your door design type. You can refine your style selection, including edge profile, framing bead and panel raise with your Cabinet Coach.

    CHOOSE YOUR DOOR STYLE*
A basic idea of your door design is enough for your initial quote. You can work out specifics (such as edge, bead, and panel raise profiles, etc) with your Cabinet Coach if this quote fits your budget. Profiles do not affect your price.
To see all door styles, visit our door styles page here.

    CHOOSE YOUR DRAWER FRONT STYLE*
You can further enhance your cabinet design with a smart drawer front design. Most opt for Matching drawer fronts, but please remember that sometimes, as in the case with very small drawers, we must use a slab or a drawer front with a flat panel (no raise).
