FORM INSTRUCTIONS

If you are on this page, it is because you have been through the quoting process on a project and are finally ready to place the order. Congratulations!

Read over each section of the agreement and check all required areas of the form below. Sign the last page and click ‘submit’.

Note: if you do not agree with something you are reading, do not continue! Contact your Cabinet Coach and ask for the information you need until you are completely satisfied that the order is correct and ready for production. At that point, you can return to this form to complete it entirely.
Name*
Please use the name that is on the Quote you are releasing for production as an order
Shipping Address*
Please verify the address you want your order shipped to. This is especially important if the shipping address is different than the one on the quote you have been working through with your Cabinet Coach. NOTE: The address must be a physical address (no PO boxes) and freight orders must be able to accept large trucks. Please see our shipping guidelines or talk to your Cabinet Coach if you have concerns about shipping.
What phone number should the shipper use to arrange delivery?
What is the Purchase Order number in the top/left of the Quote you are purchasing?
Please choose the Cabinet Coach you have been working with for your quote and order.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS*
1. I understand that the product I am ordering is 100% built-to-order and not pulled from stock. There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges.

2. I understand that once my order is placed and is in production (generally within 24 hours), changes to my order may either require a change order fee or may be impossible.

3. I understand that the accuracy of my order is as much up to me as it is up to my Cabinet Coach. As my own general contractor, and because Cabinet Joint is not able to engineer my project for me based on geographic limitations, I realize that it is my responsibility to ensure the accuracy of this order. I have asked all necessary questions and fully understand my order.

4. I understand that the lead time is approximately 4-6 weeks depending on product ordered. With the current climate, lead times are subject to change with or without notice. Lead time guidelines do not include weekends, holidays or shipping/transit time. For more information on lead times click here.

5. I understand that this is a Ready To Assemble (RTA) product. I am responsible for local assembly and installation of my cabinets or have made necessary arrangements. I also understand that assembly, while not requiring special skills, will require a level of patience and an understanding of basic hand tools. Click here for more information on tools.

6. I have planned my project timeline with allowances for shipping damage, manufacturing errors, and missing items. If delays in my project occur due to any of these I will not hold the manufacturer or Cabinet Joint responsible as such issues/delays are normal and customary with large, detailed products/projects. I understand that if cabinet assembly and installation take longer than expected, Cabinet Joint is not responsible for any fees or inconveniences caused by rescheduling subsequent subcontractors.

7. I understand that in the event parts arrive damaged or incorrectly made, not all components of the cabinet may be affected. I agree to work with my cabinet coach to retain and reuse any components that are accurate or functional, as this may prevent the need for a complete cabinet replacement. Furthermore, I will refrain from discarding any parts until the entire project is completed to ensure all components are properly accounted for and any necessary adjustments can be made.

8. I understand that what I am purchasing is fine woodwork and that as such, it needs to be stored in a dry, climate-controlled location until final assembly/installation can take place. I also understand that if damage occurs to my product that is a natural by-product of improper storage (IE: warp, bow, twist, split, etc), it may void my warranty. I understand that the manufacturer may request the return of components for inspection and testing if they were made incorrectly or if there are concerns about warranty. I agree to cooperate with the manufacturer in this process before a final decision is made.
CONSENT TO ORDER TERMS & CONDITIONS*
1. I have reviewed all specifications such as door style options, wood specie, finish, hardware specifications etc. If ‘Choose for me’ was originally requested on my quote submission, I agree with what was selected. I am responsible for the final selections.

2. I have asked my Cabinet Coach all questions necessary to understand the quote and where each item on it will go in my final project. I have checked the items on my order carefully and agree they are accurate.

3. I have reviewed my drawings against my cabinet quote and they are in agreement. I understand Cabinet Joint has done its best to interpret my drawings and that any order errors that result due to my drawings being in any form other than the manufacturer’s nomenclature is not the fault of Cabinet Joint.

4. If Cabinet Joint’s design department has provided the design packet that is the basis for my quote/order, I have read and understood my responsibilities per the disclaimer on the design packet.

5. I understand that I am ultimately responsible to review and approve appliance openings and panels. I understand that Cabinet Joint has done its best to interpret my appliance manufacturer’s specifications and has sized my cabinets accordingly, but it is my responsibility to discuss and confirm appliance openings and panels with my appliance manufacturer. I understand that appliance panels may not perfectly align with functioning cabinet door/drawer fronts as my appliances may require different clearances.

6. I understand that there are some items (door bumpers, install screws, glass for doors/shelves, etc) that I will need to provide in order to complete my cabinet assembly.

7. I understand that some cabinets on my order may be custom configured requiring custom face frames. I have either seen CAD images of the custom configurations or I am waiving my right to see the CAD drawings and trust they are correct.

8. I understand that if I am ordering painted or primed cabinets, hairline cracks in solid wood components such as doors and face frames are normal and not warrantied. Face frames are always solid wood.

9. If I am placing my order without having seen a sample finish block or sample door, I do not hold Cabinet Joint responsible. I realize the inherent inaccuracy of colors/images viewed online, and the fact that Prism colors may differ slightly from Sherwin Williams colors from the store due to sheen differences.

10. I understand that most wood species naturally darken over time, and hard maple is prone to yellowing due to its unique composition. Cabinet Joint is not liable for the change in appearance of any product, finished or unfinished, due to this aging process. If ordering Cherry cabinetry/product, I am aware of its inherent darkening properties and that how it looks in several months may be different than how it looked on my sample/initial order. I understand that finishing tolerances are designed for solid wood applications, and when finishes are applied to veneers or decorative accents, slight color variations may occur.

11. I have completed a line-by-line quote review with my Cabinet Coach to understand my project or I agree that no such meeting is needed to verify the order.
CONSENT TO SHIPPING TERMS & CONDITIONS*
1. I understand that most orders will arrive by FedEx Freight or another common carrier

2. I understand that the carrier typically requires delivery to be accepted within 48 hours during business days (excluding weekends) from the time the shipment arrives at the local terminal. As the customer, I am responsible for coordinating all delivery arrangements with the carrier and confirming when storage fees may begin to apply. I acknowledge that neither Cabinet Joint nor the manufacturer will be responsible for any storage or redelivery fees incurred due to delays or failure on my part to arrange delivery within the carrier’s specified time frame.

3. I understand that most orders include lift gate services where pallets are lowered to ground level, but smaller orders may not and the boxes may need to be hand unloaded. I agree that I will have adequate assistance present to unload the goods. I understand if I request or authorize any other delivery services with the carrier, the fees associated with those services will be my responsibility.

4. I understand that my order has free delivery service included which is calculated by the weight of my shipment.
Typical orders include 15 minutes of free delivery service. I understand that if I take longer than the estimated time to receive my delivery, additional fees associated with delivery will be my responsibility. Disputes regarding such bills must be communicated with the party sending the bill.

5. I will be at the delivery location on the day that I confirmed delivery with the shipper. If I am not there to accept delivery, I understand that redelivery charges and/or storage fees may be assessed to me and such fees must be paid to the shipper before the delivery will be re-attempted.

6. I understand that all deliveries are ‘curbside’ which means the driver will get as close to the final delivery location as possible, but if the ‘curb’ is a ½ mile away due to low hanging wires, steep grades, etc, then I will need to make arrangements to either pick the load up at the shipper’s terminal or transport it the rest of the way from the closest agreed upon drop off point to my location.

7. I agree to inspect the goods within 12 business days after receipt of the delivery. I understand that after 12 business days from delivery, any damaged or missing items claimed may result in chargeable replacements. I understand that ‘We were not ready to unpack or build the cabinets yet’ is not an acceptable reason to Conestoga for late report of damage/missing item claims.

8. I agree to mark the Delivery Receipt with any suspected pallet shortages and/or shipping damage. I understand that if I sign as complete or with no comment about suspected pallet shortages and/or damage I lose my recourse to complimentary replacement products.
IMPORTANT: Is any part of your order Painted?*
Painted orders require one more sign off. Select YES if your project contains painted cabinetry and you will be presented with a few more things to read and sign.

PAINTED FINISHES AND SOLID WOOD FRAMING

Solid wood door frames may exhibit hairline cracking at the joints. See the image below for an example.

Painted door crack sample image

Painted Cabinetry Specifications, Expectations and Customer Responsibilities*
1. I understand all cabinet face frames are solid wood, even if all MDF doors are requested, corner cracking can/will still appear on face frames.

2. I understand hairline cracks have nothing to do with a door’s build or finish quality. I understand hairline cracking is not defective or a result of finish failure and replacements will not be issued for this characteristic. I understand that replacements will be issued only when the manufacturer confirms that the finish has failed, or the door joint is broken.

3. I understand I may see corner cracks develop on all doors, some doors, or no doors at all. I understand I may see these cracks never develop, develop over a long period of time, or come out of the package exhibiting them. I understand these corner cracks can range in severity from barely visible hairlines to cracks I can catch my fingernail on.

PAINTED FINISHES & SOLID WOOD PANELS

I understand that some panel staves will swell more than others and this telegraphs through the paint as ‘lines’ in the finish. I understand this is unavoidable in a solid wood panel and is not covered under warranty. I understand this is not a ground for replacement unless the door panel is physically cracked

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES WITH PAINTED CABINETRY

I understand it is my responsibility as the customer to control the moisture in my home. I understand the manufacturer recommends between 30 and 35% relative humidity. I understand that opening windows at different times during the year and a drastic change of heat in my home can affect the humidity and my cabinetry possibly voiding my warranty.
IMPORTANT: Does any part of your order contain White Oak?*
Orders with White Oak require one more sign off.

COLOR VARIATIONS IN WHITE OAK

Below are some examples of natural color variations that are possible with white oak.

Cabinet wall with White Oak - pointing out natural variations

White Oak Cabinetry Specifications, Expectations, and Customer Responsibilities*
1. Wood Selection, Characteristics, and Finish Application

I understand that White Oak is known for its natural color and grain variations. Despite the manufacturer’s efforts to provide a uniform color range, variations in shade, including green, gray, brown, and occasional red tones are natural characteristics of White Oak.

I understand that the manufacturer selects wood with a consistent look prior to finishing. I understand that individual wood pieces in a single component may absorb finish differently, which can affect the final appearance.

I understand that natural finish will highlight the inherent color variations of White Oak and for a more uniform appearance, a stain may be preferred.

2. Sample Orders and Color Variations

I understand that ordering white oak samples provides a general guide to the color, but the final product may vary due to the natural characteristics of the wood. Samples do not guarantee an exact color match.

I understand color variations may occur in individual components such as doors or drawer fronts, once installed, these differences may become less noticeable. However, some variation in the overall appearance may still be present.

3. Replacement and Expectations

I understand if the cabinet components meet the manufacturer’s color specifications but do not meet my personal expectations, Cabinet Joint is not responsible for replacing them. Any desired replacements are at my own expense, and color consistency in replacement components cannot be guaranteed.
