  • STEP 2: DOOR STYLE & PROFILE SELECTION

In this section, you will select your door design and any applicable profiles for the edge, bead and raise. To see images of available doors, simply click the Door Category drop down menu and select a door style category. Once you settle on a design, select it from the category's door style drop down menu.

For cabinet door/option catalogs click here. Each will open in its own browser window
  • We offer over 100 different door designs to choose from, or we can even sell you the cabinets with NO doors at all. Choose a door category or collection to see the door designs in that category. If no doors are desired, simply choose 'None', ignore the remaining options, scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Next'.

  • Choosing Door Profiles

Many door designs allow you to select an outside edge, inside framing bead and panel raise profile. The image below shows how these profiles relate to each other.
  • sample image
  • Profiles noted with * are available with hinges or hinge boring. For those without the *, the customer must supply hinges and prepare the doors for any desired hinge boring.

NOTE: Many designs (such as most mitered doors) have an edge profile that is part of the molded frame and therefore cannot be changed. In such cases, any edge profile noted here will be ignored. If you are not sure what edge option to choose, click 'Not Sure - Select for me' and our experts will select an edge that compliments your selected door design. You will be required to approve our selection before the quote can be turned in to an order.
  • sample image
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Many door designs (such as mitered doors and applied molding doors) come with a 'design specific' framing bead profile. Others, such as flush/one piece doors, do not have a framing bead at all. In such instances, any framing bead profile selected here will be ignored. If you are not sure what framing bead to choose, click 'Not Sure - Select for me' and our experts will select a bead that compliments your door. You will be required to approve our selection before the quote can be turned in to an order.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Many door designs come with a specific panel raise profile, a 1/4" plywood panel, or no panel at all. In such cases, any panel raise noted here will be ignored. If you are not sure what panel raise option to choose, click 'Not Sure - Select for me' and our experts will select a panel raise that compliments your door. You will be required to approve our selection before the quote can be turned in to an order.

  • We offer several patterns of optional hinge boring for concealed cup hinges or knife hinges. Pattern A is for doors going on Face Frame style cabinets while Pattern B is for doors going on Frameless (also known as panelized or 32mm cabinets). Please note in the edge profiles section that not all of the profiles we offer are available with hinge boring.
  • This option enables the hinge to be pressed in to the hinge cup without the need to screw the hinge to the door. PLEASE NOTE: The use of a hinge press is advised. If a press is not used, this option will necessitate that the hinges be beat into the door frame with a rubber mallet. Also note that we do not sell hinges with the insert plugs. Customer must procure their own hinges if this option is selected.
  • Generally speaking, there are 3 types of drawer front 'styles': A slab drawer is a simple block of wood with a matching outside edge. A Designer Slab is a thicker block of wood with a heavily detailed outside edge (generally complimenting the panel raise of the door). A Matching drawer front is the drawer front designed to match or compliment the door design.

If you select one of these three, we will make the appropriate choice for you based on your door design. If you choose 'Other', you may specify an exact drawer front style name/description in the space below.

As with doors, you can opt for 'none' and then proceed to the next step by clicking 'Next' at the bottom of this page.

  • Our finishes feature hand rubbed stains, vinyl based paints and Conversion Varnish topcoats - the best in the industry. For big savings, consider unfinished cabinets which are ready for you to paint or stain.
  • All stains are hand rubbed unless noted as a spray stain below. Please note that not all woods are available in all stains. Please consult the detailed product information on our web site or the full catalog download for clarification.
  • Our paints are spray applied and final coated with conversion varnish for lasting durability and beauty.
  • Glazing is a secondary process where a glaze compound is wiped over the base finish and then wiped back off, left to hang in the deeper profiled areas. This lends to a more contrasting look and adds a mellowing affect to the overall look of the kitchen. Glazing is optional and adds roughly 10% to the price. Some examples of what glazing looks like can be seen in the images below.

  • 40% sheen (semi gloss) is standard on stain-only finishes while 15% sheen is standard and MANDATORY if glazing is ordered. However, this 15% (dull) sheen is available in stain-only orders for no upcharge. Select this box only if you want the non-standard 15% sheen option.
  • Antiquing is the process by which finished doors are then sanded in strategic areas to mimic wear and age. We offer several 'levels' of this affect. Antiquing can be combined with distressing for an even more 'aged' look. The image below illustrates both standard antiquing and the wear sanding option which can be seen on the panel corner where the finish is heavily worn through to expose the wood below.
  • sample image
  • Distressing is intended to simulate age and wear by 'pinging and dinging' the door with random dents, abrasions, simulated cracks, etc. Distressing is a great option on soft woods that will tend to dent and ding easier, thereby helping to camouflage any natural wear they receive over time. Distressing is almost always ordered in conjunction with a glaze as the glaze will 'hang' in the dents and dings to further 'age' the cabinetry. It it further complimented by the antique option. The image below shows level 2 and 3 distressing.
