Here is how the process works...

    Contact our kitchen designer

The design process begins with you contacting our designers, where you will need to clearly communicate design goals as well as provide a sketch of your space, including all required measurements.

Designer develops fee structure & customer remits payment for design work.

Once you have communicated your desires and the basic scope of your kitchen design, one of our designers will work up a fee structure for your design. (note: a portion of your design service fees will be credited back to the Cabinet Joint, up to 2% of the order total, once your final project order is placed.)

When you contact our designers, you will need to clearly communicate your design goals and project scope. Using this information, they will then help you formulate a design budget for your project. Generally, you can get a simple kitchen design for $150-300. For customers who require more assistance and use a lot of the designers time answering questions, completing drawing revisions, etc. it is not uncommon for those customers to spend upwards of $500-700 on their design package. Regardless of cost, our designers will walk you through the design process and any likely costs you will incur. Since you are buying the design upfront, know that you are free to take the design to anyone you wish for a competitive quote. The Cabinet Joint strongly believes that a good set of drawings will become the guiding document for your quote, the assembly of the cabinets, and ultimately the proper installation of your new kitchen.

Once you and one of our designers have defined the space plan, then you will sign off on your drawings and they can be submitted to us for quotation.

Once your space plan is complete, we can use it to formally quote the project. A few key points to keep in mind:

      1. It is far better to spend the right amount of time in the space planning stage versus rushing the plan/design phase and then continually tweaking your design throughout the quote process. If the designer/you have come up with some thoughts and want our input on pricing to make your final decision, then feel free to email us. Overall, we would prefer to refrain from continual design edits and quote changes as repeated changes dramatically increase the risk of error on your order.
      2. The designer will require a sign off on the drawings before the Cabinet Joint can complete your quote. Be aware that if you or the designer incorrectly labeled a cabinet code/size, a wall dimension, or another critical element of the plan, then the Cabinet Joint bears no responsibility for resulting issues or incorrectly ordered product! The Cabinet Joint will quote exactly what is shown in the plan drawings. We do not check wall dimensions, etc. Please make sure your plan is accurate and ask the designer any questions you have to gain complete confidence in the space plan!
  3. 3Review & Edit

    Quote

Quote sent to customer for review

Quotes are handled on a first come, first served basis and response time can vary based on current quote volume. Generally, you will receive your quote response within 12–24 hours; however, complicated kitchen drawings could result in response times as long as 3 to 4 days.

    Edits

    Customer submits edits

Once you have taken time to review the quote, you may submit as many edits as you wish, but please do not submit a new form for edits to an existing quote.

    Learn more

Instead, please send us an email, containing clear bullet points for each desired change. Be sure to reference the specific page or line; as well as, specific item or description of the item you wish to change. Please note our staff needs all changes in writing and is unable to make changes discussed via a phone call!

    Online meeting

The quote is reviewed in an online meeting

The Cabinet Joint uses “JoinMe” to initiate a screen sharing session where you and your salesman simultaneously look at his/her computer screen.

    Learn more

During the session, your quote and drawing will be displayed on the screen and our salesman will work through both items together, having you verify that all quoted cabinets & any accessories are correct. Please understand this is a critical step in ensuring that your quote is accurate and that all of your questions are answered prior to order completion. If the need arises during the session, our salesman can even illustrate concepts on the shared screen or navigate to helpful web pages that will help illustrate critical points, specs, or detai

  4. 4Finalize
